“If they’re not crazy, we don’t want them”
-Venetian Proverb
Tour an original play from lively streets of Paris to the stately boulevards of Madrid. Experience the creative core of the European tradition by studying Commedia Dell’Arte, the street theatre style invented in Italy during the Rennaissance. From Shakespeare to slapstick, Moliere to the Music Hall, Charlie Chaplin to Jim Carrey, Commedia is the root of modern comedy. Stock characters, hilarious situations, ridiculous plots—once you study this style, you’ll get it: Commedia is the template for funny! This one-of-a-kind theatre program is designed for students who love performing arts and want the theatre experience of a lifetime.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?
This program is designed for students who have a passion for the performing arts, especially improvisational theatre, and who enjoy traveling, camping and the outdoors. This program is designed for those who already have some experience in one or more of the many facets of the performing arts. Although there is no formal audition for this program, an interview is required. Students need to be ready for the challenges of working and living together as a small ensemble. In addition, students should arrive with an open mind, prepared to meet new people, experience new cultures, try new foods, and have a lot of fun!
“I have a larger appreciation for the arts and may want to pursue a career in it. I do plan to show my friends in Romania the techniques I learned and create a performance for them to do in the city square.” Adrian Tibu ‘03
"I walked in a techie, and walked out a actor!”
“I can’t believe all of the things I have learned this summer, I have not only grown as a leader and person, but as an actor and human.”
“I chose Windsor Mountain because it was an inviting adventure which involved theatre but also offered much more life experiences than a conservatory program ever could.”
